About Anna’s yoga tree
Anna’s Yoga Tree is a small-scale yoga school in Utrecht, to the neighborhoods of Overvecht, Tuindorp and Ondiep. Everyone is welcome, regardless of age, experience or body type. Our groups are small, so we can give you personal attention and take your body into account. We challenge you, but always in a way that suits you.
We are a community where you feel at home. Whether you are young, old, athletic or less agile, you belong. After class we drink tea together, but nothing is mandatory.
With us, yoga traditions from India and Western physical therapy come together. Yoga as part of a healthy lifestyle to get to know your body and your heart better.

Anna is the founder of Anna’s Yoga Tree. Originally a social scientist, she had little interest in mindfulness or yoga. After years of struggling with persistent migraines and trying everything, she eventually decided to give yoga a chance. Yoga helped her reconnect with her body. She took a Teacher Training at Trimurti Yoga just for fun, and from small sessions in her living room, Anna’s Yoga Tree was born.
Find your balance with Anna
Anna loves supporting others in living a healthy lifestyle—whether you’re looking for more peace and balance or want to build strength and flexibility. Her motto is: “You are the expert of your own body.” She is fascinated by how the human body works and began a part-time physiotherapy program in 2018, allowing her to give even more informed and targeted guidance in her yoga classes.
Yoga helps Suzanne stay balanced. It’s a way for her to reconnect with her body alongside a busy office job. After completing a teacher training in paradise-like Bali, she’s fully ready to share the benefits of yoga with you.
Sara Marcora is a passionate yoga teacher from Bologna, Italy, specializing in Flow Yoga. Her classes blend breath, movement, and meditation, creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for practitioners of all levels. Join Sara on the mat for an uplifting journey of self-discovery and wellness. Sara teaches in English but is happy to practice her Dutch skills.
Through Yin Yoga, Janneke rediscovered the connection with her body, and she wishes this journey for everyone. In her classes, you are given the time and space to gently arrive in your body, on your mat, in the here and now.
For Hanna, the path of yoga is a continuous learning journey where both the physical and spiritual aspects of our daily lives take center stage. In yoga (which means ‘connection’), Hanna finds it important to connect the body with your breath and mind. Together with you, she explores the meaning of yoga.
